Paint Realistic Goat Fur in Your G.O.A.T Shadow Box Kit
Bring your G.O.A.T Shadow Box to life with this simple layering and brush-stroke technique. This method adds depth, texture, and personality to your goat, making the fur look soft, natural, and full of character.
Why Start With a Base Coat?
Starting with a white base (or two coats of the same colour) helps the top layers appear more vibrant and ensures smooth, even coverage across all three layers of your kit.
Pro Tips for Painting Goat Fur
• Begin by painting all three layers with a white base coat (or two coats of your chosen colour) and let dry completely
• Using a small amount of brown paint, add quick, light brush strokes to the top layer to create the look of fur
• Fully paint the ears first to define their shape, then add light brown strokes inside the ears once dry for added texture
• Paint the nose and mouth using black paint
• Add darker brown brush strokes to fill in any gaps on the body and inside the ears
• Finish by adding lighter brown strokes to the face and chest to help define these areas
For the eyes:
• Use a small amount of black paint to define the eyelids
• Add a tiny white dot to the inner corner of each eye
• Place a smaller black dot on top of the white for the iris
