Colour Mixing Project - Grade 1 (Alberta Program of Studies)

These Mini Maker School Kits are designed with students and teachers in mind! Each kit provides an easy, hands-on activity that engages kids in conceptual learning connected to the Program of Studies, while promoting craftsmanship, teaching the ability to follow directions, fostering creativity, fine motor skills, and more.

The Colour Wheel Kit is the perfect activity for grades K-1, and is ideal for supporting colour exploration in Science and Art, with many possible literacy connections. The final piece is a beautiful little vial filled with colourful treasures that makes the perfect keepsake for a family member, community helper, or volunteer! Perfect project for holidays - like Mother's Day or Father's Day - these projects are inclusive as they are meant to be for Someone Special to the student.

Project is split into 3 separate classes. Video Instructions explain how to create secondary and tertiary colours, and how to create colours with different tints and shades. End project lets students explore colour creation. Instructions are provided through our private Facebook group "Make It Kits- Our Little Makery". You are welcome to join to see how projects are made before you purchase them. Within the community comes support for projects, ideas and inspiration, as well as weekly lives with tips and tricks and new project releases.
